CYC Board of Directors Announcement

Dear CYC Community,

After a rigorous six month executive search process, California Youth Connection (CYC) is pleased to announce the selection of Janay Eustace as our new Executive Director. We are thrilled to welcome Janay, a trusted leader and dedicated child welfare advocate with 20 years of experience, into this new role.

Having served as our Deputy Director since June, Janay has played a crucial role in helping CYC sustain, grow, and thrive during this unprecedented time. Prior to June, Janay served in multiple capacities at CYC, having started her journey at age 14 as a member and remaining an important figure in our community since then.

As a leader with lived experience, Janay is committed to working with CYC’s members, staff, and greater community to define what youth-led means today — and to realize our collective vision. Her passion for centering youth voice in all decision-making processes, transforming California’s foster care system, and lifting up the experiences of our members is clear in her approach to leadership. We are lucky to have Janay guiding us as we embark on this next exciting chapter.

Please send your warmest wishes to Janay as she begins this new adventure at CYC. She looks forward to connecting with all of you soon.

In community,
