Hasan Williams, Program Manager for Foster Youth in Action (FYA), is a social justice innovator in systems improvement, public policy, and legislation reform to better serve the needs of youth and disconnected young adults across New York State.
For over a decade, Hasan has been a leader in the child welfare sector while co-founding FACE (Fostering Advocacy Change and Empowerment), a youth-led non-profit advocating for evidenced-based policy reforms to improve outcomes in NYC’s foster care system. Hasan has also served as an ambassador for New Yorkers for Children and JCCA and has held various administrative positions at the NYC Administration for Childhood Services (ACS) and NYS Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS).
Hasan has a passion for CYC and youth leadership as his career began as a youth advocate coming out of foster care from 10-21. When Hasan isn’t working to create change he is probably working out or creating anything from music to content.
