DEVIN@CALYOUTHCONN.ORG
Devin Williams is the Central Valley Community Advocacy Coordinator. He is a former foster and kinship youth. Throughout his life, he’s made it a point to create safe spaces and promote inclusion wherever possible. In his youth and at school he helped lead efforts to create a Student Voice program that prioritized his classmates’ voices in decision-making processes, establishing a number of multicultural events where there weren’t any, and participating heavily in Student Government, while also coaching football and basketball teams.
In his adult life and short career, he’s worked with organizations such as the Youth Law Center, National Center for Youth Law, Quality Parenting Initiative (QPI), SOAR For Youth, and even former Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price. He was also previously a member of CYC for three years as a Core Organizer, Y.O.U.T.H Trainer with the Y.O.U.T.H Training Project, and served as Statewide Membership Council Co-Chair before transitioning over to this role. He is honored and eager to continue working with CYC and provide the same support he received as a member.
When he’s not working, you’ll find Devin hanging out with his fiancé and cat, at the movies, playing video games, or out for a stroll. You may even catch him watching the Niners, Warriors, Sharks, or Valkyries!
