CAROLYN@CALYOUTHCONN.ORG
As a Community Advocacy Coordinator, Carolyn is responsible for providing foundational resources and support to youth-led county chapters in the SoCal region, assisting in strategic chapter development, facilitating trainings that support member leadership, and overseeing administrative and technical functions for a variety of programs.
Carolyn’s purpose in working with CYC is to assist in smoother communication across chapters and promote youth self advocacy and leadership around issues that permeate the child welfare space. As a former foster youth, she is excited to be part of a community that is changing the narrative for many with lived experience in care and making a tangible impact in the way we reimagine child welfare practice.
In her down time, Carolyn enjoys walking around gardens, drinking coffee, being active and staying up to date with newest Young Adult (YA) Sci-Fi & Fantasy releases.
