Aubrey Abuana is a social justice advocate and peace practitioner who believes, as the famous writer/activist Arundhati Roy writes, that “Another world is not only possible, she is on her way.”
Aubrey inspires social activism through illustrating the inter-connectedness between international and local conflict. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology and a Masters Degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peace-building from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
She joined the CYC Southern Office as the new Southern Regional Coordinator in November 2016. Aubrey’s focus is on empowering youth and adults to create more opportunities for youth voice to be heard in the Central Valley Region. When her work is done for the day, Aubrey puts her soul into her heartful home cooking and trekking the High Sierras.
