Aaron Polanco

Aaron is the Southern California Community Advocacy Coordinator. As a former member and youth board director of CYC, Aaron is thrilled to now serve in a capacity that provides foundational resources for youth-led advocacy and leadership development activities in his region. He works directly with members, supporters and local organizations to promote community organizing and engagement efforts for system impacted youth as well as helping them solidify strategies towards systemic change. 

He attended Cal State University, Fullerton, where he earned his bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in General Management. Aaron first got involved in youth-led advocacy through participating in events and panels in his schools Guardian Scholars. It was through the GS program at CSUF that he first became aware of CYC and later joined their Orange County Chapter. Since then, he has been passionate about developing and growing fellow leaders to change systems and improve communities for themselves and for the future of child welfare. 

In his free time, Aaron enjoys activities at the beach, trying new hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and going to concerts with his friends.
