Sarah Bess Lee Hudson

Sarah Bess Lee Hudson is a Lead Facilitator with Georgia EmpowerMEnt (an affiliate of FIYA), dedicated to hearing the “ME” in the voices of Georgia’s foster youth.  EmpowerMEnt is a statewide youth leadership and advocacy network (utilizing youth-adult and community partnership) founded by and for young and emerging adults who have experienced foster care between ages 14-26+. After earning her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Georgia State University with a focus in Community Partnerships and Consensus Organizing, Sarah Bess began serving alongside youth leaders as an adult supporter (in various capacities) on issues impacting individuals in the foster care system. This mission continues today, 21 years in, a reflection of the lifelong learning quality and capacity of authentic youth engagement.
