Opportunities and Internships
Internships for Current and Former Foster Youth:
CYC is committed to expanding leadership opportunities for California’s current and former foster youth. Our internship program help youth gain important community organizing, policy, advocacy and leadership skills in the foster care reform field.
CYC is a Federal Work-Study Program site.
AB 12 Internship Program- Northern Region Office, Sacramento: Provides former foster youth the opportunity to work closely with AB 12, California's Fostering Connections to Success Act, implementation.
Bay Area Policy Internship Program- Statewide Office, San Francisco: Provides former foster youth pursing a higher education degree in the Bay Area the opportunity to participate in academic yearlong internship with a focus on deepening the impact of policy organizing. Southern Internship Program- Southern Region Office, Los Angeles: Provides current and former foster youth and MSW Interns the opportunity to gain skills in community organizing, fund developement and program support.
