Legislative Committee
What is the CYC Legislative Committee?
The CYC Legislative Committee is made up of 8 members that represent regions of the state. The Legislative Committee is the body that oversees the direction of CYC sponsored legislation and is responsible for reviewing and taking positions on current legislation that affects foster youth.
Legislative Committee Regions
Region 1- Siskiyou, Shasta, Humboldt, Tehama, Butte, Napa-Sonoma
Region 2- Yuba-Sutter, Placer, Sacramento, El Dorado, Glenn, Yolo
Region 3- San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey
Region 4- San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa
Region 5- Stanislaus, Merced, Mariposa
Region 6- Madera, Fresno
Region 7- Ventura, San Bernardino, Kern, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara
Region 8- San Diego, Orange, Riverside, Los Angeles
