Chapters are county based groups and the basic organizing structure of CYC. They are where you can get involved as a Member or a Supporter and where most of CYC's work takes place. Each CYC chapter identifies what is most needed by foster youth in their county and determines how to address those issues. The ultimate goal is for chapters to work on local issues – which change child welfare policy or practice. Many chapters also work on community engagement activities. Additionally, chapters come together to work on statewide issues that affect all foster youth in California.
